Perfecting Notices to Renters
The Perfecting Notices to Renters Workshop is available for $275.00 inc GST per team member, with a minimum charge of $1499.00 per office. The workshop runs for approximately 2.5 hours.
The Drafting Notices to Renters course is a practical hands on training program focused on one of the most critical and high risk tasks in property management issuing notices under the RTA. It is designed to give PMs clarity, confidence and consistency when drafting and serving notices.
The course breaks down the notices PMs issue most often including Notices to Vacate, Notices of Entry, Rent Increases and Breach Notices. We show PMs how to draft notices correctly and how to serve them in a way that protects both the agency and the RRP.
🚀 What You’ll Learn:
✅ How to correctly draft and issue all notices under the RTA
✅ The most common drafting mistakes that cause notices to fail at VCAT and how to avoid them
✅ How to align evidence, drafting and service so notices stand up when challenged
✅ Practical insights drawn from real tribunal outcomes and contested hearings
All attendees also get a copy of “The Bible”.
At the centre of the course is Castellan’s drafting templates book known across the industry simply as “The Bible.” For many property managers it has become the go to reference book before any notice is issued.
Every attendee receives a copy of “The Bible” and is shown exactly how to use it in real world situations. This is not a bundle of generic templates. It is a practical working tool designed to help property managers draft, check and sanity test notices so they stand up when challenged at VCAT.
The newly released 2nd edition of “The Bible” includes updated notices reflecting recent changes to the RTA as well as additional Notices to Vacates, Goods Left Behind notices and the key statutory declarations commonly required in practice.
This course is ideal for PMs who want confidence when issuing notices and agencies who want to reduce failed notices tribunal risk and avoidable disputes.
The Drafting Notices to Renters course can be delivered as a standalone session as part of a broader training program or directly in house for agencies seeking practical legally grounded training that actually gets used long after the session ends.
